Background Scripture: 2 Timothy 2
Golden Text: If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. 2 Timothy 2:21 KJV
Introduction
We must prepare ourselves and allow God to do a work in our life so that we might be prepared for the master’s use!
our goal here is to be prepared to be God’s man to preach god’s message and to complete God mission. If there ever was a time when God needs a man to stand up it is the day and hour will live in! There is wickedness on every ant. Spiritual darkness is alive and well in our world. First doctrine is invading the churches and prepare himself for the master’s use!
So many try to work for God when they are not prepared. There are many that have zeal for God but not according to knowledge. Very many of our failure can be blame on our lack of preparation and direction. To be God’s man you must be prepared. If you are to be useful to God you must be prepared. If you are to stand in the gap and make up the hedge against the wickedness of this world you must be a man prepared for the Master’s use!
Now let’s take a look at what it takes to truly be prepared for the Masters use
1. God’s man must be saved.
Many in the ministry are not saved. I regret to inform you that there are many serving in the ministry in every part of the world that have not truly been saved from their sins. An unsafe man we never be effective in the ministry. There is no way that the minister that as never been saved can be effective at all in changing the world.
2. God’s man must be sanctified
God’s man will always be a holy man. Listen to the teaching and warning of the apostle Paul. That the man of God be perfect, furnished unto good works a pattern of good work. Sound speech. Living above shame. Careful to maintain good work.
The man of God must be inwardly pure. Friends, we must strive for pure hearts! You must guard your heart with everything you have. The man of God must be outwardly pure. Holiness we show up on the outside. Inward purity and holiness will change the person you are on the outside as well!
3. God’s man must be Spirit filled.
God’s man must be full of the Holy Ghost. This is the will of God for your life.
The Holy Ghost will bring comfort. The Holy Ghost will bring counsel. The Holy Ghost will bring conviction. The Holy Ghost with enable us to pray. The Holy Ghost endues us with power. God is looking for men that are willing to do whatever it takes to be full of the holy ghost.
Let us pray; baptize us Lord let the Holy Ghost fall. oh God! prepare us for Your service! Save us! Sanctify us with Your Spirit in Jesus name. Amen.
